Dr Gugulethu Mathe

Dr. Gugulethu Mathe

Family Physician and Clinical Director

Dr Mathe is a medical doctor who was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She obtained her medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, graduating in July 2012. She pursued Family Medicine (General Practice) as her specialty in the prestigious London Deanery GP Training Program in the United Kingdom. She earned her certificate of completion of postgraduate training in General Practice (Family Medicine) in August 2017. Dr Mathe has always aspired to set up and run a family medical clinic. Recognizing that this was not possible due to the structure of the healthcare system in the United Kingdom, Dr Mathe looked to Canada. She emigrated to Ontario with her young family in August 2020 and established her family practice in Scarborough, Ontario. She recognized the need for family physicians in Durham Region, where she currently resides, and decided to relocate her practice to Whitby. Dr Mathe prides herself on being professional, approachable, hardworking, and thorough. She is currently accepting patients and looks forward to building lasting and rewarding doctor-patient relationships.

Dr. Gugulethu Mathe

Family Physician and Clinical Director
